About this Event
Connecting people. Strengthening communities. Advancing the arts.
The 2026 Michigan Presenters Fall Gathering, Serving Community Through the Arts, will explore how performing arts organizations can deepen their impact by listening, collaborating, and responding to the evolving needs of the communities they serve.
Through an inspiring keynote from educator and theater professional Dr. Phillip W. Moss, we’ll consider the important role live arts experiences can play in helping young people develop human—and humane—intelligence in an increasingly technology-driven world. An interactive workshop led by University of Michigan professor and performing artist Rogério M. Pinto will invite participants to experience how movement, voice, and storytelling can foster empathy, well-being, and social change. A panel of marketing professionals will offer practical ideas for more effectively reaching and engaging our communities, and guided group discussions led by Amy Lynne Pobanz will give us time to share ideas at our tables and with the full room.
