Kevin L. Maynard is the Executive Director of Opening Nights at Florida State University. A passionate advocate for the arts with more than 15 years of experience in arts management and philanthropy, he believes the arts are essential to a healthy community—driving tourism, strengthening the economy, and enriching our quality of life.

Before joining Opening Nights at FSU, Maynard led multiple arts organizations where he launched public art and placemaking programs, successfully advocated for “percent for art” initiatives, and oversaw major capital campaigns.

He holds a Bachelor of Accountancy and an MBA from Western Illinois University, and is the co-founder and co-host of the There’s No Business Like… arts industry podcast.
